Skill Up 2024 - training materials

The aim of the Skill Up programme is to identify and develop the unique skills and strengths of BNY Mellon’s Talents, which will contribute to their personal development, as well as to the efficiency and innovation of the organisation as a whole. Awareness of one’s strengths and weaknesses makes it easier to set and achieve goals, and contributes to continuous personal and professional improvement.

  • Knowledge Level – Participants will acquire and enhance their knowledge of organisational culture, effective time management, organising their own work, managing cultural diversity and tools to help build a trusting environment.
  • Skill level – Participants will learn effective techniques and models for problem solving, planning and decision making, develop the tools necessary to properly manage a problem situation, learn how to effectively build personal commitment.
  • Attitude level – participants will understand the importance of the right attitude for effective working and how the internal beliefs of the leader affect the daily work and team atmosphere.

Module 1: Problem Solving & Decision Making

Module 1 covers content related to problem solving strategies and decision making, tools to facilitate action in a problem situation, looking for cause and effect relationships.
